I changed my booking at the last minute to Hilton Garden Inn Kyoto and I am so glad I did. The hotel is new and fresh and the design has been very well thought out, catering to foreign travellers, the rooms are also quite large for Japan. As a Hilton Honours Gold Member I was welcomed on arrival and thanked for my loyalty and continually made to feel important during my stay. It was approx 15min walk from Gion district and I enjoyed the walk, exploring the back streets along the way. Super easy to get to the station as well. When returning to Kyoto next, I’ll be staying there again :)

Location: Not far from Kyoto station, it's well within walking distance of a major tourist/shopping district. Room: Nicely designed interior with everything you need and very functional. Interesting bit: you can actually see the current status of the laundry room from your TV! Btw this hotel just opened in November 2022 so everything looks and feels great.

Good hotel, looks like just opened a few months ago. Rooms are very comfortable and quite spacious. Breakfast is good with variety of choices. Good espresso coffee and tea selection. Fitness center is very modern and has a lot of cardio machines and some free weights, too. All brand new. Location is also convenient with more or less walking distance from Kyoto station. Alternatively, it’s a 5-min taxi ride. Good for business travel.

This is a brand new hotel in a great location. The check in experience was overall pleasant and the staff was kind. There was some slight confusion about the credit card that was listed on file, but the staff was patient and kind. The room is small for two larger sized American people. The desk in the corner may be best left out, or the room rearranged slightly. The beds were extremely comfortable and the cleaning staff were excellent. The amenities in the room were wonderful. The iron was slightly confusing as it was written only in Japanese, and not like one I’ve used, but I figured it out quickly. The laundry took over 3 hours for my clothes to dry, it may be better to invest in larger machines. It was nice and convenient they had the machines. The breakfast was excellent, maybe the best tasting and assortment I’ve ever had at a hotel. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

We spent 4 amazing nights in this brand new hotel, everything was superb thanks to the professional yet easy going staff! Every morning we were super excited because the breakfast was yummy and they offered a variety of foods. The free channels on TV were also excellent, we could watch Disney, Discovery and even channels in other languages! Don't forget to check out the high tech gym down in the basement, refresh yourself with some workout before heading out right in the heart of the CBD!
